Doubts about looking at the source code

just joined the company,The company leader asked me to look at the open source framework of the zero-knowledge proof system. It is written in rust.

After a week, I feel that just reading source code and papers will not help my programming level(By the way, When I joined the company, I interviewed Java programmers).

I want to ask if I just take it as job done or go all in on rust(From the project team I am in, I personally feel that there is no chance to exercise code (whether it is Java or rust))

I know this platform is a place to exchange language skills, but I'm looking for someone with experience to tell me what to do

If what your interested in is increasing your "programming level" going all in on Rust would be a great choice. If you don't enjoy the team you are on, try to find a new one.
