An independent Rust developer seeks guidance and hardware support

Hello Rust community,

I'm BAKOME, an open-source Rust developer focused on security, Web3 infrastructure, and AI. I maintain several MIT-licensed crates and tools.

What I've built so far:

  • BAKOME-NEXUS — multi-chain vault with ZK-Proofs, FHE, and TEE
  • MedAI — medical diagnosis AI in 12 languages
  • BAKOME-Recon-X — bug bounty framework (44+ scanners)
  • BAKOME-SOVEREIGN — neuro-symbolic AI wallet agent

I'm writing to ask for guidance and support. My current development setup makes it difficult to compile large Rust projects and contribute efficiently. I'm looking for:

  1. A used laptop (8GB+ RAM) to speed up development
  2. Mentorship from experienced Rust developers
  3. Information on grants or sponsorship programs for open-source maintainers

Hi I can't help with the hardware or cash, but I'd be interested in talking about mentoring. I think the space you are working in is exciting and I'm sure I could learn about cryptography and AI from you while helping with rust idiom, code style, development approach etc.

Hi, what you've done is really cool. Why don't you just apply for assistance from the Web3 Foundation? I'm also an individual developer, and I suggest you participate in more events to promote your project, attend hackathons to gain visibility, and find venture capitalists.

For example, I developed an agent framework (by golang), and I was looking for institutional partners. I discovered that MiMO was searching globally for agent framework developers. I sent them an email, and they replied. At least it's a good start. I believe you can do it too. Keep going!

Thank you for your encouragement and for sharing your experience. I'm happy to hear that you made progress with MiMO.
I will follow your advice and reach out to the Web3 Foundation, and look for hackathons to participate in.
It's inspiring to know that other independent developers are finding ways to succeed.
