Hello. I am a beginner in rust and was trying to install rust using ubuntu on my windows but I keep on getting this error message "stable-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu unchanged - (error reading rustc version)". How do I resolve this please?

As for the error, how did you install Rust? Are you aware of rustup?
(It's fine -- so long as you let everyone know about it.)

I used Ubuntu to install rust by running the command " curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -sSf https://sh." No, I do not know about rustup
