Rust improved on its top spot yet again in the Most Loved Language category with an increase in love of 5.8% from 73.1% in the 2017 Survey to 78.9% in the 2018 Survey.
Rust also improved in the Most Wanted Language category with in increase of 1.7% from 6.6% in the 2017 Survey to 8.3% in the 2018 Survey. Rust also jumped 2 places in the ranking from 10th to 8th.
One other insight is that over 70% of Rust Developers contribute to open source.
