Hi everyone,
I’m working on next.BREP.io, a parametric CAD application built in Rust on its own boundary-representation geometry kernel. The kernel, UI, and viewer share a codebase that runs in the browser through WebAssembly and natively on Linux and Windows.
The kernel represents solids using analytic and NURBS surfaces. The application provides a sketch-based modeling workflow: constrain a profile, extrude or revolve it, add holes and fillets, and go back through the feature history to change dimensions. It also supports STEP and IGES exchange, sheet metal, and constrained assemblies.
For the Rust side, rendering uses wgpu, with WebGPU and WebGL2 paths in the browser. There’s also an MCP interface for driving the native application or working headlessly.
You can try it in your browser without creating an account, or download a desktop build.
