Ever try talking to C++ developers about Rust?
If so, you may understand what I'm talking about.

There are many posts here that I wouldn't expect in an online space dedicated to programming related stuff :'D Including this post

Yeah, I don't think this topic is a good fit for our forum.
Besides seeming rather ad-hominem - though there is little concrete being said - it's hard to imagine any productive and code-of-conduct-obaying discussion to follow from serious engagement with the original post. Basic code-of-conduct principles such as
- Please be kind and courteous. There’s no need to be mean or rude.
- Respect that people have differences of opinion and that every design or implementation choice carries a trade-off and numerous costs. There is seldom a right answer.
- Please keep unstructured critique to a minimum. If you have solid ideas you want to experiment with, make a fork and see how it works.
- We will exclude you from interaction if you insult, demean or harass anyone.
should apply to statements about groups of people (such as "C++ developers") as well. It would also apply to statements about non-forum members, and/or about people who themselves may be behaving off-platform in ways that wouldn't be appropriate under our conduct rules. ![]()
