What would be required to make FreeBSD a tier 1 platform for Rust?

What would be required to make FreeBSD a tier 1 platform for Rust?

These are the requisites that a platform must met to be considered a tier 1 platform.

Automated testing is set up to run tests for the platform.

We already running the test suite for the freebsd target. Both on the 32-bit and 64-bit variants.

Landing changes to the rust-lang/rust repository’s master branch is gated on tests passing.

We are not doing this yet. I don’t know the details but the builds are failing.

Official release artifacts are provided for the platform.

This is being worked on. @alexcrichton is currently working on binary releases of rustc and libstd for freebsd.

Documentation for how to use and how to build the platform is available.

I don’t know the state of the documentation on this area.

Thanks for the reply! I will follow up on the info. I didn’t realize there is a separate internals forum… Will post there next.
