Why is unix socket not in std?

I'm updating some pre-1.0 rust code and I realized that unix sockets where moved out of std.
What was the motivation for that?

AFAIK, they try to make std as cross-OS as possible, and Unix sockets address just… for Unix, not for Windows. And as good Windows alternative is missing, they moved them into external crate. Just look for Unix sockets in crates.io, I believe you will find what you want.

I've found it and it works, its just feels weird, especially that there is std::unix::io.

I guess they will eventually put it back to std::os::unix, we just need to wait.
