Just curious why YAA (Yet Another Account) is required to ask a question here? What harm is done in allowing account-less questions to be asked? Having to create YAA is a burden for some folks (like me) for various reasons, and I would participate more if I did not have use YAA. Thanks.
That’s just how Discourse works. There’s also integrations so you don’t always need yet another account; i use my GitHub accounts, for example.
Completely losing the concept of an account also makes spamming easier and moderation harder.

I'm using a GitHub account too, so I didn't have to create YAA.
