Whether ownership of the crate package can be transferred

I used to have the ownership of a crate, but due to a crash of my computer, after reinstalling the system, I could not log in the original github due to the inability to provide 2FA verification (currently I have tried many methods but still have not solved).
So I wonder if it is possible to transfer the crate package previously owned by github account to my newly applied github account?

Oh boy, did you lose your recovery codes too during the crash? Have your read the GitHub docs about recovery of 2FA accounts? I hope you can get access back to your GitHub account.

Do you still have access to your crates.io dashboard? In that case you can go to crates.io/crates/{your_crate}/settings and add your new account as a second owner.

You can send an email to help@crates.io asking for help to transfer your ownership of the pkgs. But remember to use your originial verified email on crates.io, which is usually the email connected to the previous github account, because they need the emal address to prove ownership.
