New week, new Rust! What are you folks up to?
PrizeForge. Until death. Until launch. Probably 25 cups of coffee away from beginning operations. We are turning the creator economy completely upside down and that's just the beginning.
We use Leptos, CNPG, Nats, Nix, Sqlx, k8s. I have about 1-2s reloads on Leptos thanks to a nice crate structure and generous development compiler options. Containers are 40MB and headed lower after I get around to using MUSL. Our entire local development toolchain installs with a Nix home manager module. What a time to be alive.
NATS is turning out to be one of the best decisions in the whole tech stack. Low latency and models focused on gluing things together with just enough durability where it's needed. We can write messages to it to flush out behavior. We are event driven from the very foundation.
Hot stuff. I'll be updating our job listings on Positron today. The existing container needs a cache header from me testing out deployment last night, so stay tuned.
