Using rust-analyzer, why does it affect colors of text?

Regardless of what theme I use, here is an example of the colors being differeent in vscode with and without the extension.

With the extension:

One weird thing is that using the helix text editor, it doesn't seem to affect the colors at all, not too sure why that is?
