Shiplift has too many 'unwrap()' calls. Some of them are simple to solve, some might be a bit more challenging for beginners. Still, these are good first issues for beginner rustaceans!
The Cargo Team are using E-*
labels to mark things we want help with, this week we added:
The synth project recently added a number of issues we'd appreciate help with:
- Add a scheduler / topological sort for collections
- Use parameterized statements for postgres export
- Doc template generator
- XML import / export
- CSV import / export
Of course we will give mentoring and support to anyone who decides to join our project this way!

Hi Rust friends,
ChainSafe's Filecoin Rust implementation team (named Forest) has tagged a couple of "good first issues" for those that want to contribute to our project:

May we keep our still open "Good First Issues" in the Call for Participation section of the newsletter?
Hello everyone!
Ockam is building libraries for authenticated end-to-end encryption. We would love to mentor and pair with contributors that want to learn more about Rust and cryptography.
We have several issues open at all skill levels that we would love help with:
- Increasing test coverage
- Adding Bluetooth transport support
- Integrating the Boneh–Lynn–Shacham scheme for digital signatures
- Improving our secure vault implementation
Please reach out on this discussion thread to get started! https://github.com/ockam-network/ockam/discussions/1081
Hi everyone,
Helix editor is looking for more ideas for icon/logo.
- Icon/logo brainstorm there are some ideas but it would be better to have more variants and ideas before we choose one
You bet!
The Rust embedded working group would love some help maintaining cross, a tool for easy cross compilation and testing of Rust projects, as we don't have the bandwidth to keep up with its maintenance any more. We've posted a call for help here.
If we could get a link in to TWIR that would be great, thanks!
Hey friends,
This group is AWESOME!!! We found two contributions for Forest from last week through the newsletter and managed to close both "Good First Issues".
For the upcoming week, ChainSafe's Filecoin Rust implementation team (Forest) has tagged some new "Help wanted" issues for those that want to contribute to our project:
- Issue 1158
- Issue 1129
- Issue 1120
- Issue 1085
- Issue 985
As a new user, I'm only allowed to paste max two links -_-
So here's the page containing all links to the above issues
Cheers,
Tim

We had some great contributions from the TWiR call for participation last week. Could we have a couple of issues included in this weeks newsletter as well?
Cheers!
Jared
