The last two months in Rustsim #4 (January - February 2019)

Hello everyone!

I’m thrilled to announce the fourth issue of “This month in rustsim” which gives an overview about what happened within the rustsim github organization during the past two months (and not just the last one as usualy because we unfortunately skipped the edition at the end of January). You will find the January/February blog post there: https://www.rustsim.org/blog/2019/03/01/this-month-in-rustsim/.

tldr : the month of January was mostly about preparing the release of nphysics 0.10 which added support for deformable bodies, conveyor belts, builder patterns an much more! In February, we have:

  • Improved the robustness of our deformable bodies based on the Finite Element Method so that they no longer panic when they are subject to large deformations.
  • Added to nalgebra the ability to extract a rotation matrix from a raw 2x2 or 3x3 matrix.
  • Started working toward the improvement of complex numbers support within nalgebra.

Thank you all for your feedbacks and support!
