Rust SyncArbiter seems to be blocking

I'm trying to create an http server alongside starting up some actors.
I have the current setup:

I get the error:

thread 'main' panicked at 'Cannot start a runtime from within a runtime. This happens because a function (like `block_on`) attempted to block the current thread while the thread is being used to drive asynchronous tasks.'

I looked online and tried to spawn a new thread as suggested here

The entire process looked to block and I wasn't getting any response the server wasn't responding to http requests either. When I remove the code that starts up the actors, the http server works fine.

I'll appreciate any help I can get.

The documentation for SynArbiter says the following:

SyncArbiter provides the resources for a single Sync Actor to run on a dedicated thread or threads. This is generally used for CPU bound concurrent workloads. It’s important to note, that the SyncArbiter generates a single address for the pool of hosted Sync Actors.

This means that it will block your main thread, and you should never block your main thread when running an async runtime.

Besides that, why are you attempting running non-CPU-bound tasks with SyncArbiter? This is a bad use case for the tool.
