From experience with a certain mailing list in a different corner of the Internet, I know that it's easy to let such things fall by the wayside, and over the years getting copies from people on the list becomes slowly less likely...
In other words, though I have no use for the archives, thanks for preserving them!

I sadly didn't inspect archives, they are too big for Github
