Resources on limitations / programming w/ causal consistency?

A bit off topic (though I am building a distributed system in Rust).

Is there any good resource on the limitations / programming with the causal consistency model ?

I've checked wikipedia / amazon. There does not seem to be any definitive textbook on the topic.
