Update: The issue is mostly solved; users can no longer create invisible/broken topics by accident, as far as I can tell. But if I’m missing anything here, please tell me.[1]
The UI&UX around topics being “uncategorized” isn’t 100% perfectly as it was supposed to be again, but that’s only a minor issue.

Hello everyone, it seems we are experiencing some technical difficulties which make it so that creating a topic without selecting a category from the drop down menu leaves the post in a broken state (the page looking like this), making it hard - for all I can tell - even for moderators to access the post's contents or fix it. Nonetheless, if you spent time writing a lengthy post anyway, for recovering a copy of the post's content, feel free to PM me, I think I found a way.
So for the time being, make sure to always select a category; or select "Uncategorized" which also appears as a category you can select.
“Uncategorized” is pre-selected now when you create a topic, and I don’t believe there is a way to unselect that, is there? [Even if there is a way, it won’t happen by accident, at least ^^] ↩︎
