Merkle tree crate recommendations

There are numerous crates for this but which is the most recommended. In particular is there on in which I can determine the path affected in the tree during insert? This helps will keeping a persistent copy of the tree on disk. I like the rs-merkle crate but it does have this capability. Any suggestions?
