Hi, I am looking for Rust people to join a new community in Ghent (Belgium). It would be lovely to meet other users of Rust in the neighborhood. I am willing to take the train if necessary.
I also would like to announce a new community I am building: SysGhent.
The first meeting will be on december 18th in Ghent. In the coming months I will prepare a presentation about how we use Rust at OTIV for railway vehicles. And in february I plan a trip to the Rust dev-room at FOSDEM, Brussels.
I originally wanted to make a Rust User Group, but then I discussed with colleagues and it seemed to be a better idea to be more inclusive. There are simply way more C++ programmers. That's the reason I called it "Systems Programming Ghent". I also wanted to distinguish it from the already existing web development groups in the area. But I love Rust and use it on a daily basis myself, so be welcome! There is a chat group you can join and GitHub community.
