I came across a mention that May 8th, 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Rust’s official release. I’m a bit skeptical and wanted to check in with the community to see if that date is accurate.
I know Rust had earlier versions and pre-1.0 milestones, but I’m specifically referring to the 1.0 stable release. Can anyone confirm if May 15, 2015 was the correct release date, and if so, does that make May 15, 2025 the actual 10-year anniversary instead of May 8?
Would really appreciate any clarification or historical insight from those who’ve been following Rust for a while.
