IntelliJ/Rust -- for a section of a file, disable arg name hints

  1. In IntelliJ/Rust, IntelliJ will inline disable names of func args.

For example, if we have:

fn foo(cat: i32, b: i32) -> i32 {}

and we write

foo(1, 2);

IntelliJ will in light gray, add

foo(a: 1, b: 2);

with the a: and b: in light gray.

This is great 99% of the time.

  1. I now have a “mini DSL” where I have a set of functions that builds up data structures. It turns out the light gray “arg name hints” are getting in the way this time around.

  2. Is three some way to tell IntelliJ, for a section of a file, to NOT display “arg name hints”? (I don’t want to disable this globally. I just want to disable this for portions of the file.)

Instead of “disable section of file”, I’m also okay with “disable arg name hints for THIS LIST OF FUNCTIONS”

So (1) I’m willing to modify the section of the file that I want func arg names disabled and (2) I’m willing to modify the functions that I want func arg name disabled.
