Game making Rust group?

Hello! :victory_hand:

Emmm... I haven't Discord, if here's something, bodies :sweat_smile:

I always only chooses options those saves your privacy :slightly_smiling_face::locked:, and don't sells your data :sweat_smile::palm_up_hand::dollar_banknote::leftwards_hand:

Hi :slight_smile:

We don't do that, don't worry :sweat_smile:

Hi, see https://gugquettex.com/en/blog/about-me.php, has all my contacts, can also Signal with that phone, what is your pick?

Also, planning to be about done with my previous game and set up by next week, if you have any things that need to be or be done or whatever, will have a GitLab, anything?

Set up to start I mean, so?

I have a good plan for cutting hyper boxes to view, it is not tetrahedra, anyway, what else do you need please?

Hello again! :waving_hand::victory_hand:

This website won't works :slightly_smiling_face:

Unable to connect

:sweat_smile:

I prefer Matrix, XMPP, ToxChat, or maybe even SimpleX Chat or Wire as alternatives :slightly_smiling_face:

Only fully Open-Source solutions with E2E Encryption :locked_with_key: :grin:

So for hackers can't steal some data from the services servers :slightly_smiling_face:. Or insiders :grin:

And... Yeap! Also for anyone who I don't trust will can't buy the data :unamused_face:

Was be busy all the last days :slightly_smiling_face:. Worked on the Tower-Defense game :grin:, so was can't give an answer at the time :slightly_smiling_face:

May I ask what VPN you use, it had issues with VPN but should be mostly fixed now?

Hello again! :waving_hand::victory_hand::slightly_smiling_face:

Was be busy as often :grin:. Worked on my OpenGL game that uses C++, and rewrote my tiny program in COBOL :slightly_smiling_face: (because the previous version was be shameness :grimacing:)

I don't want to give some certain answer, but if you want to know - Yeap! I'm using VPN :grin:

But don't worry! :slightly_smiling_face: I don't know what is happened but your website works now! :grin::+1:

Signal is a pretty much good alternative to some doubtful, and proprietary software :thinking:

But I'm doubt that it will works in our country :grimacing:. Because I'm doubt that I will can receive some SMS-message :speech_balloon: for authorizing there :thinking:

But I will send you some "Hello World!" through E-Mail :envelope: still now :thinking:. Just in case :wink:

I got the email, we can also do newsletter style emails if you want? I guess I could join Matrix, but unsure what to do for git now, unsure if I should pay $10 a month+electricity for only GitLab stuff (my web host allows gaming now), maybe it will eventually have a game server, but other than those two uses, $120 a year for what? I understand I initiated this, but just having doubts, and I feel like I kind of forced my own stuff on you, there were other ideas, sorry, but I normally take a year+ per game and work 1 day a week or less, really not good for people who can dedicate time, should we continue this? Do we even need git or can we just zip it and email?

What do "newsletter style emails" means? :slightly_smiling_face:

120$ is certainly too much :sweat_smile:. So let's figure with that out without so much huge expenses :dollar_banknote::slightly_smiling_face:

But self-hosting is a good choice :grin::+1:

So, as alternatives:

  • I have my own server, but... Honestly... I don't trust the hosting provider that I use enough :sweat_smile:. So, Git, I think, is a certainly a bad idea to deploy there :slightly_smiling_face:

  • Why 120$? :thinking: There must be alternatives cheaper! :grimacing: We don't need too much cool server for serving a Git :thinking:. I guess that 4 GB of RAM, and 10 GB storage is a pretty much enough :thinking:. But I still think that it's also pretty much cool characteristics :grimacing:. And we don't need a dedicated private server :thinking:. I guess that a virtual private server is pretty enough here :slightly_smiling_face:

  • But we can also use some free alternatives :roll_eyes:: GitHub (is not recommended at all), GitLab (something doubtful after they have take a decision to promote an AI :unamused_face:), and Codeberg :snow_capped_mountain:. But this is also a doubtful item in this list :thinking:

  • Or we can try SourceHut :slightly_smiling_face:. But it's mostly a paid service, as I understood this :sweat_smile:

Again! 120$ is pretty much cool! :slightly_smiling_face::dollar_banknote: There must be alternatives more cheaper :sweat_smile:

Maybe we even need less than 4 GB RAM for serving a Git :thinking:

Do we have some bodies those can recommend us some hosting here? :slightly_smiling_face:

Or you don't need a hosting, because you have your own server already? :thinking:

In that case, we have alternatives such as Gitea, or Forgejo for hosting a Git :slightly_smiling_face:

P.S: So, I need to go to eat :face_savoring_food:, because my brain won't works now :sweat_smile:

P.S.S: Or you meant that you pays for a static IP address for the server? :thinking:

Actually, my problem is security software for having it up, at least $5.5 a month+extras, so?

And yes, static IP costs $3 a month extra where I live, and the extras like domain and SSL are what make it $120 a year, anything else? Do I even need security if it is exclusive git?

Hello everyone again! :waving_hand::victory_hand:

I was busy whole this time by practicing in English, and at the same time recording :red_circle: some video about the last changes in my projects :video_camera::slightly_smiling_face:

And because of this was can't give an answer :sweat_smile::left_speech_bubble:

Are you about some security features those GitLab offers? :thinking:

If it so - we have some alternatives such as Gitea, or Forgejo.

But what's these security features do :face_with_raised_eyebrow::red_question_mark:
