FOSDEM'25 Rust Devroom Call for Proposals Closes Sunday, 1 December

Hi all, as the title says, the CfP for the Rust Devroom at FOSDEM 25 closes on Sunday, 1 December.

This year, FOSDEM will be on weekend of 1 & 2 February 2025 with the Rust Devroom taking place on the Saturday.

If you'd like to speak, make sure to get your proposal in this weekend!

If you don't plan to speak, you can use this thread to tell us what topics you would love to see. Maybe someone will get inspired when they read your ideas and submit a talk!

Some things I'd like to see:

  • Show-case of zero-copy and protocol parser crates.
  • Show-case of nightly-only features that are likely to be stabilized at some point. let-else changed my life, and I refuse to believe that's there aren't other gold nuggets hiding behind +nightly. From what I've seen, try v2 is another thing that may radically change how I write code.
