I just installed Zorin OS 15 (which is Ubuntu 18.01 based)
System:
Intel i7 and Nvidia RTX 2060

I have this installed:
apt install gcc pkg-config openssl libasound2-dev cmake build-essential python3 libfreetype6-dev libexpat1-dev libxcb-composite0-dev libssl-dev libx11-dev libfontconfig1-dev

Added this to .zshrc file

export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=$PKG_CONFIG_PATH:/usr/share/pkgconfig/
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=$PKG_CONFIG_PATH:/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkgconfig/

When I try to compile this Project I get following error:

silly me.

sudo apt-get install libudev-dev fixed it.
