Sounds like you need to install the 'git' to your system.

That is a simple "sudo apt-get install git" on my Debian Linux.

What OS are you using?

Since your path has a backwards slash, I'm assuming you're on windows, so you can download git here.

Well spotted alice.

I find that using the Windows Subsystem for Linux on Windows 10 is most convenient. In fact I haven't managed to get anything to build using Rust for Windows.
