So I just signed up for the forum. I wanted to add a new email to my account, and the activation email was sent.
However, it's been a while (10-15 minutes I guess) now, and it still hasn't come in. Is this normal? I've checked my spam folders and they're clean. The email server + domain are my personal server/domain, so I can't see any reason why I wouldn't receive the activation email.
Does it appear in the logs for whatever antispam you're using? I've got some cases when incoming email was listed there as "soft rejected", then sender retried it after some time, and filter lets it pass.
I have no access to the logs for the site anti-spam unfortunately. It's my server/domain, but it's shared hosting, so I don't have access to some things.
Also, the email still hasn't shown up.
I believe it would be appropriate to email or flag this thread as Something Else to get a mod's attention if they don't notice this thread on their own.
So on your “Preferences” page in the “Account” tab under the “Email” header, there’s a button on unconfirmed email addresses to “resend confirmation email.” Have you tried that yet?
Tried it 4 times. Still no email.
I see. I’ve tested your new email address manually, from my gmail account, and get back an error, so probably seems to be an issue on your end.
