I want to use a Matrix rust server but i made a oath to never use rust because of ffmpeg

Well you could compile rust to wasm and import that into js. But you should use rust. If you rely heavily on ffmpeg and don't like rusts ffmpeg support than may write some code in c and load that I to rust. Why is is the better choice?

I believe this is a moral stance, but the only ffmpeg / Rust thing I can think of recently was the ffmpeg social media account mocking a Rust port of the dav1d AV1 implementation for being slower.

Which would be a strange reason to take a moral stance against Rust, but then pretty much any reason would be so shrug?

I'm curious. Please explain why/how ffmpeg has got anything to do with ones choice to use or not use Rust? I can't fathom it.
