[Call for advice] What should be the next step for tantivy?

Yes, I might want to wait a little for this.

It has been opensourced recently by Yahoo.

As @ddorian43 stated, mixing language is very common for that kind of large distributed systems.

I added tantivy to an internal site at work. It's very handy, thanks for your hard work.

This issue here for me would be the most useful https://github.com/tantivy-search/tantivy/issues/368 .

Because we only have say 300 pages in the site, the quality of results can quickly drop off depending on the search terms. Having a simple way to show a snippet of the results would allow people to see much easier which result to click.

Cool. We are already working on this ticket. I think we should have something for 0.7.

At work we use Solr with a Rails backend. So having a Ruby gem with a nicer configuration system than Solr would be killer, as well as having good quality binaries that don't require Java. It would also be very nice to have a docker image for people to get up and running quickly in production.

I would like to use Tantivy in our homepage at https://agriconnect.vn (built on Wagtail). But currently we don't have resource to do.
