I added quickcheck to my GiST implementation and found it very straight forward and rewarding when it caught a bug. The only wrinkle I found was that I had to setup a feature for my build since quickcheck_macros needs to be used with nightly and I would love to have this just work on stable.
8/8 would smash my code again.
QuickCheck has grown a quickcheck! macro written by @bluss that works on stable with some minor limitations.
