Some of my crates haven't had any major API changes in quite some time, so they seem like low hanging fruit to promote to 1.0. This does not mean there will never be any future API evolution, but rather, should indicate a level of stability commensurate with maturity.
I've opened issues for gathering feedback. I'd like to move forward in the next few weeks. Here are the links to the corresponding issue for each crate:
It took me longer than I expected, but byteorder, memchr, suffix, tabwriter, utf8-ranges and walkdir are all now at 1.0.
1.0 doesn't mean no api evolution, that's what major releases are for!
