Alternate download location

Corporate proxy is blocking rustup download from the .rs domain, is there an alternate download location?

There are links here that pull from static.rust-lang.org.

LOL for me even static.rust-lang.org is blocked. I will check with my network and security teams. It is not that difficult to get it opened I believe. I think some generic rules are blocking them.

Can they be hosted on github?

Even if the rustup bootstrap installer is on github, it's going to be pulling stuff from static.rust-lang.org.

Strange I have access to crates.io . Is there any metadata difference between crates.io and static.rust-lang.org?

Sure - they're different domains after all. It'd depend on the workings of your proxy blocking rules.

static.rust-lang.org is an S3 bucket, crates.io is on Heroku.
