Just sharing what I found while trying to look for any supabase crates, holy cow.
This is called name squatting and is not allowed according to crates.io's usage policy:
[We do not allow content or activity on crates.io that] exists only to reserve a name for a prolonged period of time (often called "name squatting") without having any genuine functionality, purpose, or significant development activity on the corresponding repository
You might be able to get these packages deleted by contacting the crates.io team, if that is what you want. I'm not sure about this though and I have no idea about the workload the team is facing at the moment and if there is any time left for administrative tasks like these.
Yes. I've already reported quite a few prior to this, just feels quite absurd to see this find on one user, which uses a popular name, and has gotten away for so long.
And I'm pretty sure they still care that much seeing how they were quick onto it from my previous reports regarding name squatting despite how busy they are probably at the time, commendable.
